I'll tell you a secret that I finally ran across after a good year and a half of struggling to make ends meet. It's all about the niches you pick. People go online for all sorts of reasons and only a few of them are with the intention to buy something. If you don't catch your visitors while they are already in buying mode, it's very hard to sell them much of anything.

If on the other hand you can reach them while they are sitting at their desk, with their wallet right next to them, making sales and commissions suddenly becomes incredibly easy.

My very first website was all about spending quality time with your kids. It had plenty of articles and a huge free craft idea section. The site got good traffic, but made hardly any sales - heck Google Ads didn't even do well. Why? Because the moms weren't even remotely interested in buying something. They were there to find a craft project they could do with their kids on a rainy afternoon. And there were plenty of those available free on the Internet (including my site), so they weren't even interested in buying craft books.

For my next site I changed my strategy and decided to go with a topic and niche that I knew was profitable. I went to Clickbank and found a product that was already selling well (I'll walk you through this in the report). The product I found was about potty training. I build a small little site and within a few days I was making my first sale. To this day, the site doesn't even get a 10th of the traffic my craft site gets, but it consistently makes about 4 times the amount of income.
